Open the Dashboard by clicking the Menu button and selecting the Home button.

The dashboard elements are the search bar, the categories list, the map, the buttons for reminders and bookings, and any pertinent notifications at the bottom.

Until you get some content into the system, the dashboard will look fairly sparse.

a. Searchbar

Clicking on the search bar brings up the Item List page where you can find your items grouped differently.

b. Categories

You can add new categories by scrolling to the right of the Categories section and clicking “Add new”.

It’s quick to add categories before you add items, but you can also create them as you add your items. Once you have categories, you can click on the “Categories” header to see the list of the categories as an alternative to scrolling right. This is helpful if there are many categories.

c. Map

The map will default to showing your address. Once you add items, you’ll see some numbers on this tiny dashboard page map.

Click on the map to enlarge it and see the full Map feature on which you can search anywhere that your items may be.

The map will display your 100 most recently changed Items. The above example shows just 3, but more can display, and you just scroll down to see the rest.

If you skip adding your address during setup, you’ll see a map for some other random location until you add some GPS-stamped items, and the map, therefore, has someplace to home in on.

The map feature is not helpful if your device’s location services are turned off or you don’t allow Scanlily to access your location as you add items. Enable those on your phone when adding items or updating their GPS locations so that they receive the proper latitude and longitude.

d. Reminders, Bookings, and Work Orders

Below the map, you will see from two to four buttons, depending on the options you choose during setup.

Reminders Button
- See a list of upcoming reminder times you have set for items. Read about how to set reminders here.

Bookings Button
- This will appear as “Checkouts,” “Reservations,” or “Reservations with Pickups,” depending on what Booking Mode you have chosen in Settings->Subscriber. It may also be missing if you have opted for no bookings. Click on it to see a list of your account’s current bookings.

e. Notifications

As you or other account users begin to book items, you will see relevant notifications here.

Check this area to see useful alerts, for example, if an item you have checked out is due soon or a user is late returning an item.
