The following are the possible Settings Page options:

User Profile and Subscriber Profile are described below.

Click on Logout to log out of the system.

Free subscribers will not see the options below logout. Pro and Business subscribers can select Item Types to edit the Item Types. Business customers can further select Booking Notifications to edit the text from the various kinds of notifications.

a. User Profile

The user profile settings are under Main Menu->Settings->User Profile.

There is an opportunity to add a photo at the top. The Timezone is a standard form that accounts for daylight savings time. Email and Push notifications refer to receiving the reminders you set and the bookings you make. For example, if you selected the Get Push notifications checkbox and an item is overdue for return, the app will present a notification on your phone. If you set a Reminder but have Get Email Notifications and Get Push Notifications turned off, then you will not receive an email or push notification when the reminder comes due.

If you turn off the checkbox for the option “Collect GPS coordinates”, then your items will be no longer trackable. Note that this also makes it impossible to share these items as public without a passcode. This is due to Scanlily’s geofencing, which prevents people far from your public items from accessing them.

Scanlily is available in the following 12 languages.  You can select these from the Language pulldown:

Arabic

Czech

Danish

English

French

German

Hebrew

Hindi

Hungarian

Italian

Portuguese

Spanish

Special Apple registration with Apple's Hide My Email feature.

If you subscribed to Scanlily with Apple ID authentication and chose Apple’s Hide My Email option, the Email at the top of this screen will appear as blank.   If you find that you are not receiving notifications from Scanlily, it may be a problem with Hide My Email. In that case, log into the we suggest you enter your actual email here. Then Scanlily can send notification emails directly to you. Privacy and security are important to us. We will protect your information and will not share your email with anyone outside Scanlily.

Circumventing Apple-enforced login rule

According to Apple's rules, any app registered with Apple Authentication is not allowed to give you alternative login options (this is not a problem with Google).  However, they cannot enforce options outside the app. If you logged in via Apple and would like to also be able to login with your email, then visit the User Website, select Settings->User Profile and set your alternate login there.

b. Subscriber Profile

The subscriber profile settings can be found under Main Menu->Settings->Subscriber Profile.

Selecting “I’m an individual” determines what other fields are shown below in settings. If you are using Scanlily without more advanced features, this simplifies your selection process.

The Booking Modes can be changed at any time, but remember that any existing bookings for the mode you are switching from will be hidden. So it’s best to clear out or address existing bookings before changing the mode.

You can select the cancelation policy for the “Reservations” and “Reservations with Pickups” booking modes. This enforces when your users can cancel their reservations.

1. Cancelation Policy

- Any time prior to booking

- 1 hour prior to booking

- 24 hours prior to booking

- 48 hours prior to booking

- 48 hours prior to booking

- One week prior to booking

- Cancel Anytime

The checkbox for "Enable custody" appears when the booking mode "Reservations with Pickups" is selected.  Turning Enable custody on allows people to make unending reservations.  They are taking custody of the item until they choose to return it.  With this turned off, the option will not appear to users.

Working hours are the hours available on the calendar for bookings.  For example if the working hours are set to 8am to 5pm for weekdays, then bookings cannot be made outside those hours.

2. The Booking Agreement feature

When checked, then people who check out items (Check out mode) or pick up items (Reservations with Pickup mod) are asked to sign a bookings agreement.  The default text is displayed below but it can be customized.

3. Updating and Adding Addresses

Click on the address displayed on the Subscriber Settings page to both update that address and add new addresses.

The Address updating page appears below.  The option for Other addresses is only visible for non-Free product levels.

If you click on an address listed under “Other Addresses”, that address will become your new primary address. Click on the little flag symbol to change your address name or street address as well as the GPS location. Click on Locations to view and manage the locations at that address that you can select for your items.

4. Passcode Settings

Your subscription’s Passcode can be used to protect items you make public. Initially, there is no passcode and the settings page displays "Generate".  Selecting this generates a passcode for your subscription.  If you then Enable the passcode, then people who are not part of your subscription that physically scan a QR label will need to first enter a passcode.

5. Delete Account

A delete account button will appear at the bottom of the Subscribers settings page for owners of the account.  It will do what it sounds like: delete your account and all of your data. There is a warning prompt in case you accidentally click on that. However, if you confirm the deletion, your personal information and your account will be deleted.
