Scanlily keeps a record of who changed an item and what was changed about it. This serves as a useful audit trail, especially when there is more than one user for the account.
To view an item’s history, visit the Item Page and click the blue button with three dots on the lower right corner.
Then click “history” from the popup menu.
Item changes currently tracked
These are some of the things that the History feature tracks:
1. An item has been added
2. An Item attribute has been updated
Examples:
Evan Patel updated the item:
- Description changed to "Spotted Cow”
- Quantity changed to 2
- Warranty_expiration_date changed to 2024-12-13
- Color changed to "blue"
3. An Item has been deleted
Example:
Evan Patel deleted the item "Cow" with ID 12345
4. Attachments have been inserted or updated
Examples:
- Donna Digger added a note
- Sanjay Wells attached a document
- Moe Machiner updated an image
